Rick Andre is a partner with the law firm of Andre & Blaustein, LLP, where he guides business owners in the establishment, acquisition, management, and sale of businesses in a variety of industries and professions, and helps clients with estate planning and probate matters. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Rick graduated from Yale University in 1975, and began practicing law in Atlanta in 1980 after graduating from Emory University School of Law.
Rick is a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, the Atlanta Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia and its Fiduciary Law Section. Rick is also a member of Vistage International, an international organization of executives, and the Yale Club of Georgia. Rick also serves on the Board of Directors of Auditory-Verbal Center, Inc.
David George is the chairman and chief executive officer of Healthcare Solutions, a leading healthcare services company providing technology-based healthcare solutions to the nation’s largest payers in the property and casualty market. Over the past 25 years, George has held key executive positions with businesses focused on the management and delivery of healthcare services. Prior to joining Healthcare Solutions, he served as president of AdvancePCS, the nation’s largest pharmacy benefit manager and health services company, and as a director and executive vice president of the predecessor company, Advance Paradigm, Inc. He has also served as executive vice president of United Healthcare, and president of The Prudential’s southeastern healthcare division.
Lew Belote – Finance Committee
Lew Belote is the CFO of Angelica Corporation, the largest provider of linen services to the healthcare industry. From 2002 to 2009, he was the CFO of Move, Inc., and helped engineer a successful turnaround of the troubled public company. He was a SVP of Finance of WebMD until 2001, has served as CFO of three private companies and worked for 12 years at Ernst & Young. He also serves as Treasurer of Druid Hill Golf Club and is a past president of the club. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with honors in Accounting. Lew and his wife, Karen, have four children; Michael, Mindy, Kaitlin and Lauren.
Ken Sternad recently retired as president of The UPS Foundation. He was responsible for its global philanthropic initiatives. He managed volunteer programs, grants, education initiatives, relationships with diversity partners and disaster response activities. A native of Norwalk, CT, Sternad received a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Ohio Wesleyan University and completed graduate work in corporate and political communications at Fairfield University. Sternad serves on the Board of Trustees for the Points of Light Institute and the Board of Trustees for the U.S. Chamber’s Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC), and is an alumni representative and chair of the Class Annual Fund for Ohio Wesleyan University. He is a member of The Conference Board’s Contributions Council, the Council on Foundations and the Arthur Page Society, and is active with the Boy Scouts of America. Ken resides with his wife, Judy, in Norcross, GA. They have three children.
Dave Cormack is a veteran software industry executive who has founded, built and managed several high-growth companies, both in the U.S. and internationally. He has more than 30 years of experience, including in his current position as president and CEO of Brightree. Prior to Brightree, Dave founded and managed Soft Systems Limited, a London-based vendor of business intelligence tools, and MiracleWorker.com, an Atlanta-based market leader in Internet recruiting for the healthcare industry. Dave served on the board of a major professional soccer club in the U.K., and is a former co-chairman of the Atlanta Silverbacks professional team. Dave graduated with a degree in accounting from Aberdeen College of Commerce, Scotland in 1981.
Tom Fowler was founder and co-owner of Artcraft, Inc.; an art, engineering and craft distributing and manufacturing company. He also owned a construction company for high-end homes. He and his partner sold both companies in 1993. Tom has stayed active as an investor and avid golfer. He volunteers for several community boards.
Mrs. Huber, a former English and Language Arts teacher, joined MARR in the 1980’s and served as the volunteer coordinator and later chairman of corporate fundraising. She was also a member of the MARR Board. Later she served as chairman of the cathedral of St. Philip Thrift House, board member of The Iron City Fishing Club of Pittsburgh, PA and Ontario, Canada and is a founding member of the Girls’ Preparatory School National Alumnae Council in Chattanooga, TN.
Barry Daniel is the president and owner of Tools & Equipment Warehouse, Inc., serving the automotive and industrial tool distributors in the Southeastern United States for four decades with a dedication to customer care, quality products and services. Being an Atlanta native, he joined the family business, Tools & Equipment Warehouse, Inc., in 1974 after attending Georgia Southern University. For 20 years, Barry has served as a member of AAAS (Automotive Aftermarket Association of the Southeast), as well as on its board of directors for 4 years, directing over 2,400 automotive and industrial retail businesses.
Barry and his wife, Shirley, have been married 24 years, have one daughter attending Auburn University, and reside in Peachtree City, Georgia, where they have been members of Peachtree City United Methodist Church for 16 years.
Dr. Tim Melton
Dr. Melton has been involved with MARR since its inception in 1975, and has served on the board of directors for 28 years. He is a past president and lifetime member of the board. Dr. Melton is a licensed professional counselor and has been in private practice for over 30 years. He currently conducts a family therapy group at MARR and also supervises MARR’s clinical staff for licensure in Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.
Bill Barnes is an Atlanta native and attended the University of Georgia. He is the president and owner of Realty Research Corporation. He is active in the formation, ownership and management of partnerships that purchase income-producing commercial real estate. He has been an active member of the MARR Board of Directors for several years.
Dave Seem is the EVP and the chief financial officer of Miller Zell; responsible for the financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, tax compliance, and human resource functions. Seem was owner/operator of two different entrepreneurial firms; a medical products company and a software company specializing in temporary staffing. Prior to 1994 Dave held a variety of positions at several Fortune 500 companies. Dave was instrumental in 2010 in the formation of the Fulton Industrial CID (FICID) which focuses on improving and rehabilitating the Fulton Industrial Corridor in South Atlanta. He is also active in the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce, the Metro Area Chamber of Commerce, the Atlanta chapter of the ACG, and the Atlanta Venture Forum. Dave is a board member of LifeSpan Healthcare and 62 Sports.
Doug Liptak is partner and co-founder of SignatureFD, LLC where he seeks innovative ways to offer comprehensive financial design services to successful individuals and entrepreneurs. Prior to SignatureFD, Liptak was a senior tax and financial planning strategist at Frazier Deeter. Doug is a certified financial planner and a certified public accountant. He graduated from Furman University and received a master’s degree from Georgia State University. Doug played an instrumental role while serving on the initial Board of Directors for Heart for Africa, a Christian-based, nonprofit providing hope to Africa. Doug and his wife, Kim, live in Alpharetta with their five children, and attend North Point Community Church.
Captain Jim Graham is the vice president, flying operations and chief pilot at Delta Air Lines, Inc. He is responsible for the overall management of worldwide daily flight operations, Delta’s 12,500 line pilots, Flight Operations administration, Pilot Standards and Special Airport Qualifications, as well as new service and charter service. Promoted to his current position in 2008, Captain Graham began his career with Delta in 1988 as a line pilot. Prior to Delta, Captain Graham was a naval aviator flying the P-3C Orion aircraft in the Atlanta and Mediterranean theaters. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a BS in Business Administration. He currently resides with his wife, Shannon, and their two daughters and son in Jacksonville, Florida.
