Alumni Service Work

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

“You’ve got to give it away to keep it” is a common phrase in the recovery world. When the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) carried the message of recovery to those suffering from alcoholism, they discovered a primary component of long-term sobriety: service work.

In an effort to stay sober and help others recover, MARR’s Alumni hold “Four Night of Impact” on a quarterly basis. We prepare and serve dinner to residents at The Extension – a non-profit, community-supported organization in Marietta, GA that provides addiction treatment services to homeless men and women. Following dinner, alumni members are encouraged to attend a Big Book study or CoDA meeting with the residents.

Please join us as we carry the message of recovery and bask in the Sunlight of the Spirit!
