The Atlanta Recovering Professional (ARP) program is designed to provide specialized, intensive, residential treatment, and long-term monitoring services for medical and other professionals with addictions. ARP provides several levels of service and works as an adjunct to the Men's Recovery Program (MRC) and the Women's Recovery Program (WRC). (For more information on these programs go to Men's Recovery Program or Women's Recovery Program.)

ARP aids licensing boards, monitoring programs, families, and individuals, who are uncertain about the presence of addiction, with either a 4-day or a 10-day Comprehensive Substance Abuse Assessment. This process includes neuropsychological testing, psychiatric evaluation, group and individual therapy sessions, psychosocial evaluation a medical evaluation and residential living.
Those who enter the extended ARP program receive peer support, regular reporting to licensing boards and advocates, and professionals' groups. This is in addition to all services offered in the Men and Women's programs. Comprehensive aftercare is also available for those living in the Atlanta area and arranged with appropriate providers for those living outside Atlanta.
