Volunteers have always been a vital part of MARR and participate in all phases of the program. Whether they come from other service organizations, the community at large or are MARR alumni wanting to give back, the volunteers all have something in common; a deep commitment and belief in MARR and a desire to help the recovering addict and their family. Volunteers may participate in activities such as opening new residences, refurbishing old ones, contributing to promotional material, developing educational programs and support groups, fund-raising activities, helping with special events and attending weekly groups with clients within the therapeutic community. All volunteers participate in a twelve-hour training program before beginning their volunteer services.
If you have a strong interest in being a part of a caring community, please contact Julie Hansen today at 678-805-5140.
The next volunteer training is Monday, April 16th and Tuesday April 17th, Monday, April 23rd and Tuesday, April 24th. 6:00-9:00 pm.
