The Women's Recovery Center (WRC) of MARR Focuses on women's issues in recovery. We understand that addiction usually begins as a coping mechanism for unresolved emotional issues and WRC provides a safe and therapeutic environment for women to work their way back to health through the use psycho-educational and therapeutic groups, and individual counseling.

Adult women, aged 18 years and older, who have a primary diagnosis of addiction, will have an opportunity to work on issues such as self-esteem, body-image, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, disordered eating, and trauma while learning the basic tools of recovery.

WRC staff will make sure that each woman has a clear understanding of the 12-Steps, the disease model of addiction, relapse prevention, and healthy coping behaviors that will form a foundation for long-term recovery.
The therapeutic community which consists of women living, going to groups, working, and going through the process of recovery together provides a working model where they can practice the tools of recovery in preparation for life after treatment.
The WRC Administration building, where clients will go for groups, individual sessions, and medical care, is located in historic, downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia. It is within 2 miles of the women's housing and is conveniently situated for access to shopping, work, and meetings.
