Director of Admissions, MARR Addiction Treatment Centers

Responsibilities  

  • Overseeing the operations of the MARR Assessment Department, including the provision of and approval of clinical assessment services and the administrative supervision of all staff of the Assessment Department.
  • Ensuring that all clinical assessments and the admissions process are provided in accordance with the established MARR Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with JCAHO, DCH, GARR, DBHDD, and any other licensing/ accrediting bodies’ standards and regulations that apply to MARR programs.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable laws pertaining to confidentiality.
  • Participates in the hiring, training, and supervision of the Clinical Assessment Counselors and ensures sufficient coverage in the department to provide clinical assessment services.
  • Responsible for maintaining effective communication with staff in the treatment programs, ensuring the proper flow of information to the Program Directors, Medical and Clinical staff, where applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring regular clinical reviews of potential clients and facilitating regular staff meetings.
  • Conducts Outcome Studies and reports findings to the Quality Improvement Committee.
  • Supports staff with their efforts to comply with certifying bodies and licensure board requirements.
  • Participates as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee and the Management Team.
  • Ensuring staff receive 30 hours per calendar year of continuing education (CE’S) or in-service trainings.
  • Working with the Director of Business Development and/or Program Directors/Medical/Clinical staff to ensure communication to referrals sources during client transitions between levels of care.
  • Facilitating professional development of the Admissions Counselors through monitoring of phone calls and assessments and providing guidance/feedback on a regular basis.
  • Responsible for any other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Required Education/Experience/Skills 

  • Full licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) and experience in addiction counseling. A person with a certification as an addiction counselor (CAC-II or MAC) may have additional experience that qualifies them for the position. At least three years’ clinical experience in addiction and mental health counseling in the behavioral health treatment field is required and at least one-year of supervisory experience. Knowledge of ASAM Levels of Care and Placement criteria.
