Chances are you’ve heard of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The attraction honors the game’s greatest players in history and works with the NFL to continue preserving its history and values to this day. Their team is also doing something else – working to help those struggling with substance abuse, mental health, and behavioral health through Hall of Fame Behavioral Health (HOFBH).
For All Walks of Life
Addiction isn’t a picky disease. It affects people of all genders, of all races, and from endless backgrounds. It may be easy to stereotype someone struggling with addiction, but the truth is that around 20 million Americans struggle with a substance use disorder and 90% of those don’t ever ask for help. This includes high-functioning professionals like dentists, pilots, lawyers, and yes, even athletes. MARR is excited to work with Hall of Fame Behavioral Health, as they begin to change the narrative of professional athletes and substance abuse.
What HOFBH Offers
With a mission to be a gateway for athletes and their families for the best care available, HOFBH offers psychiatric evaluations and medication management, intervention and sober coaching, companion services, medical detox, counseling, telehealth services, and more.
For clients needing residential inpatient treatment, they partner with treatment centers around the nation deemed “Centers of Excellence” and put clients with a Player Advocacy Coordinator to help them through the entire process. We’re proud and thankful to share that MARR has officially been named a Center of Excellence.
Centers of Excellence
To be an official Center of Excellence with HOFBH, treatment centers go through an extensive accreditation process. The process includes an in-person visit to tour the facility and ensure the quality of each client’s stay, an additional accreditation with a third party where each facility provides examples of their written procedures on a variety of topics, and an assurance that the facility’s level of cultural competency and code of ethics are up to the HOFBH standards.
