Recommitting to Our Values | A Message from the New CEO
By Patrice Alexander, LPC, CPCS, MAC
Chief Executive Officer
Thank you all for the overwhelming support in my first weeks in this position. I’m humbled and honored to be stepping into the role of CEO of this deeply respected institution–one that for 47 years has changed the lives of countless individuals and families.
In my first message to our entire community as CEO, I want to reiterate what MARR has done so well since 1975, and will continue to recommit itself to.
Our Mission: MARR is dedicated to bringing total recovery to chemically dependent individuals through high-quality, cost-effective, gender-specific treatment programs. MARR mentors clients in a disciplined, caring, and respectful environment. The total needs of each client are addressed to achieve lasting recovery–physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Relationships Are Primary & People Come First
Spiritually-Founded, 12-Step Based Treatment
Therapeutic Community as the Primary Agent of Change
Lasting Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Recovery
Recovery for the Whole Family
Financially Sound & Cost-Effective Nonprofit Treatment
This mission and these values will serve as our guideposts as we move forward. I firmly believe that MARR is among the best addiction treatment centers in the business.
Every single one of our staff members as well as all the members of our larger network of referrers, alumni, volunteers, and supporters play a vital role in continuing to keep the vision of MARR a living and breathing reality that changes lives on a daily basis.
I look forward to reconnecting with those of you who I already know and collaborating with new members of our large, ever-growing family.
Whether you’re recovering from addiction or supporting those who do, whether you are a family member, staff member, alumni, or professional in our network, I appreciate your support as we continue to offer the opportunity to enter lifelong recovery to our clients and their families.
We are all in this together.
