The Women’s Recovery Center (WRC) of MARR received a $13,500 grant from The UPS Foundation, the charitable arm of UPS. The grant will be used toward facility renovations so our women can continue to feel safe, welcome and cared for while in treatment at MARR.

The volunteers of WRC and UPS have been working together for nearly a year to clean and paint a home owned by MARR, and spent a full day of painting a townhouse where the women live during treatment. Another workday is anticipated in September at WRC. “Working with the UPS volunteers to keep our property updated has been so rewarding; receiving financial support from them as well has truly been a gift,” said Jessica Schmoll, director of the Women’s Recovery Center.

“The UPS Foundation is honored to support MARR’s efforts in treating addiction,” said Eduardo Martinez, president of The UPS Foundation. “Our goal is to fund powerful programs that make a lasting difference to the global community.”

MARR is deeply grateful to The UPS Foundation for its continued involvement with, and generous support of, the Women’s Recovery Center.
