Meet Helen-Grace Scott

Job Title: Family Program Counselor
Credentials: MA, APC
Education Background: Helen-Grace earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from College of Charleston in 2019. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in 2023.
Work History: Prior to beginning her graduate program for counseling, Helen-Grace worked for a nonprofit youth organization. She joined the MARR team as a family program intern in May 2022, and became a full-time employee as a Family Program Counselor in May 2023.

“I was drawn to MARR because of the way it serves not only our clients, but their families as well. Being able to offer support and education to family members as their loved ones experience treatment at MARR, and encouraging family members to engage in their own form of recovery mirrors what we ask of our clients in such a simple but impactful way. As a family counselor at MARR, I’ve been able to see family members and clients engage with one another in new and healthy ways, as they begin to recognize what’s theirs to take responsibility for and what’s not!”
