“In my role as a Clinical Assessment Counselor, I enjoy being the initial contact for those reaching out for guidance, resources and relief. Oftentimes, the person calling is hurting. And a lot of times, it’s related to their substance use, feelings of hopelessness and shame. Being able to provide reassurance and support, and highlighting the power of that first courageous step can provide the inspiration to ‘ride the wave, all the way to the shore.’ For me, being at the front line of callers’ journeys into recovery is spiritually enriching and very rewarding. At MARR, lives are changed moment by moment: one call, one person, one step at a time. Community recovery celebrates each individual achievement. Create the life you truly deserve. Inspire your spirit. Connect… Be!”
